Co-Director, Co-Executive Producer, Animator

Andrea Love is a stop motion animator based in Port Townsend, Washington. She runs a full service stop motion studio from her basement, where she creates worlds primarily out of needle felted wool. She is co-directing Tulip, as well as heading up fabrication & animation. Andrea has made several short films, which have screened at festivals including the Tribecca Film Festival and LA Shorts Fest, and her wool fiber animations have millions of views worldwide. Phoebe Wahl,

Co-Director, Co-Executive Producer, Writer

Phoebe Wahl is an award-winning children’s book author/illustrator and surface designer based in Bellingham, Washington. Her books include Sonya’s Chickens (Tundra Books) Backyard Fairies (Knopf), Paper Mice (Simon & Schuster, written by Megan Wagner Lloyd) and the forthcoming The Blue House (Knopf). Phoebe will be co-directing Tulip, and is the lead set and character designer and script writer. Richard Gould, Sound Designer

Richard Gould is a British sound designer, composer, voice artist, knitter and needle felter based in California's Bay Area. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Richard now works with Skywalker Sound as a supervisor, sound designer and editor. His work can be heard in "Star War Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker", "Star Wars: The Mandalorian", "Black Panther”, “The Post", and dozens of other films, shows, video games and virtual reality experiences. When not vibrating the airwaves, he enjoys knitting and felting and later agonizing over whether or not to let his toddler play with his creations. Peter Michael Davison, Composer

Peter Michael Davison is a critically acclaimed composer for film and television with a specialty in stop motion, based in the UK. Leah Warshawski, Co-Producer

Leah Warshawski produces / directs award-winning features, television, commercials, and branded entertainment around the world. Her most recent feature doc BIG SONIA (2017), won 22 awards at more than 75 film festivals and was eligible for an Academy Award. In 2017, Leah gave a TEDx talk entitled How Do You Cope With the Trauma You Didn't Experience? She advises filmmakers on social impact, outreach, marketing, festival strategy and hybrid distribution plans. In addition, Leah co-founded rwandafilm.org in 2012, a LinkedIn for Rwandan filmmakers supported by Bpeace and The Academy of Motion Pictures. Recently, Leah earned an Executive for Social Impact Strategy certificate from UPenn and completed a Positive Psychology Specialization. Eric Love, Associate Producer/Vocal Director

Eric Love is the Associate Artistic Director and Director of Education at Northern Stage in White River Junction, Vermont. He received a BFA in musical theater from The Hartt School, and has extensive experience in musical theater, Shakespeare, ballet, burlesque, voice overs, comedy, drama, drag roles, experimental theatre and acrobatics. He also happens to be Andrea Love’s twin brother! He is bringing his expertise and enormous community of actors together to cast, coach, direct and record the voice actors for Tulip. Todd Soliday, Post-Production Supervisor

Todd Soliday has over 30 years experience on projects around the globe. He’s a gear-head and true craftsman: directing, filming, editing, animating, and post-supervising feature films, short films, corporate films (Starbucks, Red-Bull Media House, Microsoft, Amazon, T-Mobile, etc), and music documentaries for major networks and corporations. Recent documentary feature projects include OUT OF LUCK (2016), THE BREACH (2015), FINDING HILLYWOOD (2013), PLATINUM: THE MT. BAKER LEGENDARY BANKED SLALOM (2007) and VOYAGE: ALONE ACROSS THE ATLANTIC (2006 series and pilot). Todd is a multi-Emmy award winner and in 2015 was honored with a month-long fellowship at the Rockefeller Foundation in Bellagio, Italy. Avid mountain biker, snowboarder, diver, surfer, and world-traveler, Todd’s hunger for the backcountry and passion for adventure drives his documentary storytelling.

Christina Zagarino, Associate Producer

Christina Zagarino is a producer and researcher with a specialty in child development, arts education, and digital media. She is a 2010 recipient of the Fred Rogers Memorial Scholarship, which provided funding for the short-form series Big Top Fitness. Christina has worked on television programs including Dora the Explorer and Bubble Guppies for Nickelodeon, produced and voice directed animated shorts for the apps Speakaboos and Learn With Homer, and currently works in user experience for Google. She loves films that bring families together and channel the young at heart, and has volunteered with the Boston International Kids Film Festival as well as the Bay Area International Children's Film Festival. Christina enjoys splashing in the waves and looking for mermaids with her toddler. 

D.D. Wigley, Co-Executive Producer

Wigley helped produce Anbessa (2019), Bastards y Diablos (2015), Be Natural: The Untold Story of Alice Guy-Blaché (2018),  and The Bowmakers (2019); she contributed to Growing Up Smith (2015) and Frame by Frame (2015). D.D. feels honored and very lucky to sometimes be able to help artists make their creative dreams come true.

 

Rocky Friedman, Producer

Rocky Friedman has owned and programmed Port Townsend’s historic Rose Theatre for 28 years. His first venture into film producing was The Bowmakers, released in 2019. He is in pre-production on his second feature, Dancing With the Dead: The Life and Work of Red Pine. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California Department of Cinema.

Bella Cole-Preciado, Social Media Manager/Research Assistant

Bella Cole-Preciado is a freelance writer and film enthusiast based in Bellingham, Washington. A graduate in Creative Writing from Western Washington University, Bella has written for music publication What’s Up! Magazine, a newspaper dedicated to delivering captivating spotlights on local musicians and her poetry has been published in The Nearness Project, an online literary magazine bringing community together during times of social isolation. When not posting to Tulip’s socials, Bella enjoys creative and nurturing projects through forms of baking, music, and horticulture.
